"Man Utd" - "Man City": Thoughts of Fans © EuroFootball.com

On the portal EuroFootball.com - the section "Fan Thoughts"! Before the most important, interesting, and highly anticipated matches, we speak to supporters who are passionate about the teams taking the field.

Eighteen-year-old website reader Edvinas, who supports a team, shares his thoughts on the upcoming Manchester derby and the incomprehensible behavior of fans.

"Man Utd" - "Man City"

The Manchester derby attracts not only the fans of the clubs but also the attention of football enthusiasts around the world. Both teams are closely ranked in the Premier League, so this match will be crucial in terms of the league table. In official matches, these clubs have faced each other 157 times, with 'City' winning 42 times, 50 matches ending in draws, and 'The Red Devils' triumphing in 65 encounters.

Team Form

We've seen how 'Man Utd' players managed to snatch victory in the final moments of matches (the game against 'Blackpool' required a stroke of luck) and we've also seen their failure against the struggling 'Wolves' team at the bottom of the league. 'Man City' is also not in the best form - a few unexpected draws, few goals scored, and a static attack. Nevertheless, I am convinced that in the Manchester derby, Roberto Mancini's players will play good, very good matches and add three points to their tally.

Injuries and Opportunities

It is already clear that 'Man Utd' will be without Ferdinand and Evans in the match against 'Man City' - a significant loss to the defense. Meanwhile, the visiting team will have all their key players on the field and will aim for victory to get closer to the league leaders.

Assessing the chances of both teams, I believe 'Man City' has better odds. In my opinion, the match will end with a score of 1-2.

Incomprehensible behavior of 'The Red Devils' fans

The behavior of 'United' fans (if they can be called that) (read more by clicking here - author's note) in my eyes, is incomprehensible, childish, and completely illogical. They may be right - 'City' hasn't won anything for a long time - but I believe that this year the 'City' team will show what they are worth and what they are capable of. We will see this in today's match against 'Man Utd'. I have no doubt that after this season, 'City' fans will have similar banter towards 'The Red Devils'.
