"Manchester United”, together with its partner "Adidas”, had prepared special jerseys for the Premier League match against Liverpool’s "Everton” on Sunday, in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
With these jerseys, the team’s players were supposed to take the field before the match; however, this plan was canceled.
This decision was made by the "United” players, who expressed their support for their teammate Noussair Mazraoui.
According to reports, the Moroccan informed the club that he would not wear the LGBTQ+ supportive jersey due to his religious beliefs. Not wanting their teammate to be singled out in such a situation, the other "Man Utd” players also decided not to wear these jerseys.
