“Manchester United” will bid farewell to another young team talent.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano announces that Lisbon's “Benfica” has reached an agreement with the “Red Devils” regarding the loan of Alvaro Fernandez.
However, the Portuguese club will have the option to buy the 20-year-old winger for 6 million euros after the season. If the Spaniard plays in at least 50 percent of the matches in the starting lineup, then “Benfica” will be obligated to acquire the player.
“Man Utd” also agreed to have a priority option to acquire A. Fernandez in the future.
The promising winger came to Manchester from the Real Madrid academy in 2020, but did not get a chance to debut in the main team.
