On Sunday, another set of matches from the 35th round of the English Premier League were played.
At "Goodison Park" stadium, Manchester United continued their week-long nightmare. The "Red Devils" lost to Liverpool's Everton team with a crushing score of 0:4, giving up their spot in the Champions League.
Already in the 13th minute, the "Toffees" gained the advantage when Richarlison scored with an acrobatic leap. Manchester United couldn't respond and in the 28th minute, they were punished with another goal - Gylfi Sigurdsson struck a powerful shot from about 25 meters which David De Gea couldn't stop.
In the second half, Manchester United made several changes, but they didn't pay off - Everton continued to punish the visitors' defensive mistakes.
In the 56th minute, after a set-piece situation near the penalty area, Lucas Digne forced De Gea to concede another goal with a powerful shot.
The tragedy for Manchester United didn't end there - in the 64th minute, Theo Walcott scored another goal during a quick attack, increasing Everton's lead to four goals.
This was the most painful defeat for the "Red Devils" this season. Previously, they were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham in the Premier League.
After this loss, Manchester United remain in a precarious position. Arsenal, in fourth place, can increase their lead to even 5 points.
