Michael Laudrup resigned from his position as the coach of the highest league team from Spain.
The 47-year-old specialist announced his decision at a press conference. The main reason for his departure, he stated, was disagreements with the club's owner, Lorenzo Serra Ferrer.
"This cannot continue. From now on, 'Mallorca' will be as Ferrer wants to see it," Laudrup said.
A few hours earlier, Laudrup's assistant Erik Larsen left the Mallorca team. He was dismissed for criticizing the owner.
In the Spanish championship, after five rounds, 'Mallorca' is in eleventh place.
