"Manchester City" approaches the acquisition of Rodri

F

or some time now, it has been known that the "Manchester City" club is involved in the race to acquire Rodri, the defender of Madrid's "Atletico" team.

Considered as Sergio Busquets' successor in Spanish football, Rodri has a release clause of 70 million euros in his contract with "Atletico". That's what makes him an attractive target for European clubs.

According to the newspaper AS, "Manchester City" has already presented an offer matching that amount to the "Atletico" club, which will now just have to accept it.

Rodri has already agreed on personal contract terms with the "Man City" club in advance.

The 22-year-old player was acquired by "Atletico" from "Villareal" last summer for 20 million euros.

This is a much-needed purchase for the "Man City" team - Pep Guardiola has been looking to acquire a new defensive midfielder for some time.
