In the "Premier League" of England, seven matches of the 17th round were played on Saturday.
The first match took place at "Etihad" stadium, where the local "Manchester CIty" met with "Crystal Palace". Manuel Pellegrini's team defeated the visitors from London with a score of 3-0.
The goals for the winners were scored by Yaya Toure and David Silva, who scored twice and returned from injury. Interestingly, all three goals were scored in the second half.
In other matches, "Manchester United" lost important points away. Louis van Gaal's team played a draw with "Aston Villa".
Christian Benteke put the hosts ahead in the 18th minute, but Radamel Falcao equalized the score at the start of the second half. From the 65th minute, the "Red Devils" played with a man advantage, but they failed to secure a victory.
After the victory, "Man City" has 39 points, tied with the London leader "Chelsea", but they have a chance to reclaim the lead tomorrow. Meanwhile, "Man Utd" remains in third place.
"Southampton" achieved a convincing home victory, winning 3-0 against Liverpool's "Everton". Also, London's "Tottenham" fought hard and secured an important victory in front of their fans.
