Among the candidates to take the position of a backup goalkeeper is „Everton“ goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to „Telegraph“ journalist Mike McGrath. Earlier, there were reports of a possible acquisition of Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann, but those rumors have since died down. Recently, the name of Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer appeared in the press. However, the Swiss goalkeeper, at least for now, would be considered as a backup goalkeeper to replace the injured Dean Henderson. The same role would await A. Begovic. From 2010 to 2015, the Bosnian player represented „Stoke City“ very successfully in the Premier League. Later, he had stints with „Chelsea“ and „Bournemouth“ clubs.
