Manchester United did not take advantage of the opportunity to acquire Sofyana Amrabat.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the "Red Devils" informed Fiorentina that they will not pay the 20 million euros buyout clause for the possibility to acquire the 27-year-old Moroccan.

However, it is added that Man Utd's strategist Erik ten Hag would like to continue seeing the midfielder in his team, so United will seek to reach an agreement with the Italian club for a lower buyout amount.

Several other clubs are also interested in S. Amrabat's services.

The current contract of the Moroccan with Fiorentina will expire in the summer of 2025.
