Strategist Roberto Mancini denies that the brightest stars of the team want him to be fired.

There are reports that players from one of the richest clubs on the planet have lost faith in the 45-year-old specialist and would like to work with a new coach.

Such rumors spread especially after the weekend's lost match to the "Wolverhampton" team, in which two members of the Manchester unit - defender Vincent Kompany and striker Emmanuel Adebayor - barely spoke to each other.

Furthermore, many were dissatisfied with Mancini's decision to substitute Adebayor in the second half and replace Pablo Zabaleta, who was playing in defensive and midfield positions, even though there was a real striker Jo on the bench.

But responding to the question from "Sky Sports" journalists about the situation, the Italian was laconic: "It is complete nonsense."
