Coach Roberto Mancini remains optimistic and predicts that in the battle for the first place, they will gain points.
On Saturday, "Man City" played a 3-3 draw at home against "Sunderland", so a victory on Monday away against "Blackburn" would increase "Man Utd's" advantage to five points.
"I think on Monday the opponents will play a draw," Mancini said. "In eight matches, you can expect at least two draws. They can definitely have difficult moments, and we will try as long as we have even a little hope."
'The Red Devils' have only won twice in their last eight away matches in the Premier League against "Blackburn".
"It will be tough, but we still have seven matches left," Mancini said. "Until the Manchester derby on April 30, we need to reduce the gap by at least a couple of points."
