Last season, Brazilian Amantino Mancini, who extended his contract with AS club until 2009, has now stated that he wants to leave the Italian capital's team.
The past season was tragic for Roma - the team finished only 8th in the Serie A championship and only reached the Coppa Italia final to qualify for the next season's UEFA Europa League.
The poor results of the team are believed to have prompted the player to look for a new club. However, another possibility is not ruled out - recently, the player's agent became Gilmar Velozas, the same person who convinced another Roma Brazilian, Emerson, to move to Turin a year ago.
"Amantino wants to leave Roma," said the player's agent. "At the moment, we have no connections with other teams, but I know that Amantino is interested in many clubs, so it won't be difficult for him to find a new team."
The Italian press currently mentions famous Madrid and Milan as the most realistic contenders to acquire the young Brazilian.
