Mancini: We do not give up hope of winning the "Premier" League © EuroFootball.com

Strategist Roberto Mancini assures that the team has not lost hope of winning the English Premier League.

After the weekend matches, with six games remaining, the leader's advantage over the nearest pursuer has grown to eight points.

"The situation is not easy, but we need to think positively," Mancini said. "I am proud of my players for what they have achieved up to this day. We just have to earn as many points as possible and then see how our competitors are doing.

"I will never say that winning the championship is impossible when there are still possibilities. That's not how my life works."

Mancini recalled last season: "Remember, Chelsea was six or seven points behind with six games remaining, then won three consecutive matches and traveled to Manchester for the derby just with a three-point deficit. We are professionals, so we must finish the season well and win all remaining matches."

Manchester City will host Manchester United on April 30 at the Etihad Stadium.
