After a successful season, Bilbao's "Athletic" club will have to look for a new strategist. The club officially announced today that head coach Marcelino has left his post. Marcelino finished the season with the "Athletic" team in 8th position, just outside the European tournament zone. He also reached the finals of the "Copa del Rey" twice in the past 3 years. This season, the Bilbao team defeated giants such as "Atletico", "Real", and "Barcelona", as well as teams like "Betis" and "Real Sociedad". Previously, Marcelino had successful stints with "Villarreal" and "Valencia" in the "La Liga" championship.
