Marcelo Bielsa resigns from the Chilean national team, with which he reached the quarterfinals in last summer's World Cup, citing disagreements with the country's football federation leaders.
"It's a shame that all of this has turned into a kind of soap opera," said Bielsa. "But I don't think I am to blame for it. There has been a lot of unjust information about me coming from the federation in the media. You can't work like that."
Bielsa has also managed the Argentine national team for six years.
