One of the main players of Madrid's "Real" team, Marcelo, suffered a shoulder injury during the match against "Granada" and will have to miss some time, as reported by "COPE."
The 27-year-old footballer collided with an opponent in the final minutes of the match and landed awkwardly on his shoulder. Today, Madrid's medical staff will conduct further tests, but it is certain that "Real" will have to cope without their main left-back for a while.
According to the aforementioned source, "Real" will have to start the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against "Roma" without the Brazilian. This means that Marcelo will not be able to play in the next match against Bilbao's "Athletic," and there are also doubts about future "La Liga" matches in February.
Marcelo has been indispensable for "Real" this season. In Spain, the defender has already played 20 matches, scored two goals, and provided two assists.
"Real" does not have a true left-back in Marcelo's absence, but he could be replaced by Danilo and Nacho Fernandez, who can both play in both positions.
The 2014 Champions League winners will begin their quarterfinal match on February 17th.
