At yesterday's press conference of the UEFA Champions League, Madrid "Real" defender had to answer some not very comfortable questions. Recently, in an interview released by "Daily Mirror" where Robbie Fowler interviews Jurgen Klopp, the coach of "Liverpool" stated that Marcelo is more of an attacking player than a defender who fulfills his true duties in defense.
Although it is believed that the interview was not written as J. Klopp actually said, one journalist at the press conference asked Marcelo himself what he thought about it.
"I haven't seen this interview. All I can say is that in the final, many people like to say things that are not really true," the Brazilian said about the journalists' actions.
"That is their opinion. I am satisfied with what I do on the field. My teammates and coach also have nothing against my style of play.
"I am the one who trains consistently and never pays attention to what other people say. I really haven't seen the interview with Klopp and can't comment on it any further," added Marcelo, who will have the opportunity to fight for his fourth Champions League trophy today.
