Marcelo hopes to make history with "Real" next season

Madriddo "Real" vice-captain and one of the best left-back defenders on the planet, Marcelo, together with the team, began preparations for the Atlantic and participated in the first press conference of the 2017-18 season.

Last season Marcelo, along with "Real", won two of the most important club titles - the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish championship. The 29-year-old defender is convinced that the "whites" can still improve their game and achieve the dream of winning all six titles next season.

"Real" will fight for all six possible titles next season - Champions League, "La Liga", Copa del Rey, FIFA Club World Cup, and Spanish and UEFA Super Cups.

"As always, I am eagerly awaiting the new season. I have been at this club for a very long time, but every season I give my all, and try to pass on my experience to all the young players of the team," said Marcelo, who has been playing in Madrid since 2007.

"I have never lacked motivation here, and for the team, I am ready to fight until the death. Last season we won two important titles, but we know there is room for improvement. It's hard to be even better than we were last season, but we never stop learning, and next season we will try to win all six titles. The success of hard work is continuous work towards the goal," Marcelo added.

"Real" will start their preparation for the season in a friendly match cycle on July 24th when they face "Manchester United."
