Brazilian national team coach Tite confirmed that Marcelo has returned to contention for a spot in the starting lineup for the match against Belgium.
The Madrid "Real" full-back only played for 10 minutes against Serbia due to back spasms.
He also missed the World Cup round of 16 clash against Mexico, but now could feature in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
"Marcelo left the pitch due to a clinical issue and because of that condition, he didn't return," said Tite.
"Filipe Luis played well in those two matches. Marcelo is back."
The Brazilian coach did not clarify the chances of seeing the 30-year-old player from the first minutes, but this will be known tomorrow evening.
