Marijampolė's "Sūduva" surpasses Vilnius district's "TransINVEST" club

In the 6th round of the "TOPsport A Lyga", Vilnius district "TransINVEST" and Marijampolė's "Sūduva" clashed for the first time. In the second half of the match, scoring two quick goals, the players of Sūduva celebrated a victory in Širvintos with a score of 2:0 (0:0).

In the first half, the teams exchanged shots on goal, with the first more dangerous attempt made by Ernestas Stočkūnas, although Giedrius Zenkevičius dealt easily with his shot. As time went on, the goalkeeper had to repel a header from Henrique Devenso.

In the 30th minute, Simone Moschinas had to work at his goal when Dariušas Stankevičius took a shot from a distance. In the next attack, Kota Sakurai stood out.

The second half began with an attempt by Ernestas Burdzilauskas, but the guests had a better opportunity just a few minutes later - after a confusion in the penalty area, the ball ended up near H. Devenso, but Ivanas Zotko and G. Zenkevičius acted confidently to keep the ball out.

In the 58th minute, "TransINVEST" took possession of the ball, H. Devenso took a shot, but the ball rolled past the goalpost.

Marijampolė's players scored two quick goals - in 69th minute Ugochukwu Oduenyi was accurate, and in the 70th minute Aivaras Emsis scored after a great pass from Dariušas Stankevičius. However, soon after, H. Devenso received his second yellow card and left his team to play with a man down, followed by the same fate for Aleksandras Levšinas.

After the victory, "Sūduva" rose to 5th place in the "TOPsport A Lyga" standings with 8 points, while "TransINVEST" has 6 points and ranks a step below on the ladder.
