Attacker Mario Balotelli is considered one of the most promising forwards in Europe, and publicly introduced himself as second only to Lionel Messi. However, often with incomprehensible actions, the Italian frustrates football fans.
Last week, in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 match, the footballer in Kiev played sluggishly against the local "Dynamo" and even arrived late for the start of the second half - the Manchester team started playing with one man down for several seconds. All of this was later explained by an allergy that Balotelli felt to the Ukrainian field grass.
Man City lost 0-2, but hoped to retaliate at home. However, Balotelli wasted several great chances at the beginning of the match in England, and in the 36th minute, he was sent off the field for a rough foul against an opponent. The hosts even celebrated a 1-0 victory playing with 10 against 11, but it was not enough - the club was knocked out of the Europa League tournament.
After the match, coach Roberto Mancini confirmed that Balotelli would not be included in the lineup for Sunday's match against London's "Chelsea."
