On Thursday, in the "Ligue 1" match in Marseille, there was no trouble for Toulouse footballers as they were defeated 6-1 at home.
The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute. After a pass from Samuel Gigot, the ball was sent into the goal by Valentin Rongier.
"Marseille" doubled their lead in the 41st minute. Rasmus Nicolaisen, representing Toulouse, played unsuccessfully and directed the ball into his own net.
The Marseille team scored their third goal in the 52nd minute. This time, the opponent's goalkeeper was defeated by Sead Kolasinac.
Contributing to the goals, Dimitri Payet also scored his team's fourth goal in the 62nd minute with a fantastic shot to the top corner of the goal.
The visitors managed to reduce the score in the 66th minute. Branco van den Boomen converted a penalty kick from 11 meters.
However, the hosts managed to score two more goals. In the 79th minute, Cengiz Under converted an 11-meter penalty, and four minutes later, Nuno Tavares added another goal.
After the match, Marseille climbed to the third position in the league table, two points ahead of the team below them, Rennes.
