The goalkeeper of the German national team, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, "contributed" to the team's failure in a 1:3 friendly match with the Slovaks.
In the second half, in the 52nd minute, the 24-year-old player "slipped" when he let in a shot from Juraj Kucka.
"Of course, it was an unsuccessful situation. The ball bounced several times and I couldn't see it because of the water on the field.
But, of course, I got up. No excuses," ter Stegen said after the match.
The world champions, struggling in a string of failures, will try to rehabilitate themselves in a friendly match against Hungary this Saturday.
