Germany's football legend Michael Ballack does not understand what is happening with London's "Arsenal" midfielder Mesut Ozil lately.
Since the 2014 World Cup, M. Ozil has been criticized for his deteriorating performance. The former London "Chelsea" midfielder believes that Ozil should not have left Real Madrid.
"I don't know what happened to him," said M. Ballack in an interview with "Sky Sports." "Something inexplicable, because his mentality has also deteriorated, his body language hasn't improved, even after winning the World Cup gold."
"I can't imagine what could have happened in recent years, when he moved from Real to Arsenal. A player like Ozil should have stayed at Real for as long as possible. Maybe he had personal problems in Madrid, but he was doing well there and had to adapt to the club's conditions.
"If there are ups and downs in the club, you have to deal with it. In the Arsenal team, he faces a lot of criticism, but he must improve," added M. Ballack.
