Former one of the best German national team football players Michael Ballack believes that Mesut Ozil's athletic form has deteriorated after moving to London's "Arsenal".
Let's remind that last summer, the 25-year-old midfielder transferred from Madrid's "Real" club to "Arsenal" for 50 million euros. The first season did not go particularly well for the German, but he managed to triumph in the FA Cup with the "Gunners".
"Mesut has done a lot of good for Germany and he was excellent during the qualifiers, but over the past few months, he hasn't been the same as we are used to seeing him. I don't know if the move to "Arsenal" contributed to that, but he was more confident earlier. Of course, we hope that during the World Cup he will be one of the best players in our national team," said M. Ballack.
"Ozil is one of our best players, so he needs to take on more responsibility. We all believe that we will see a different Mesut in Brazil," concluded the former football player.
