Mexican drug lord "El Chapo" sought to become the owner of "Chelsea"

Recently, the media has been silent about the famous Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman, who managed to escape from a highly secured prison during the summer and remain at large for about six months.

Reports from Spain suggest that J. Guzman, known in the criminal world by the nickname "El Chapo", attempted to become the owner of the English champions, London's "Chelsea" club.

In 2003, the "Blues" club was purchased by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. "Sport" reports that "El Chapo" wanted to take over control of the club from R. Abramovich at some point, although the exact year is not specified.

According to the same source, J. Guzman, even when he was free, tried to make time for football and had a great passion for it. However, the drug lord never succeeded in acquiring one of the most famous European clubs.
