On Friday, the 2014 World Championship continues. In Brazil, three matches will be played today, and the first took place at the stadium in the city of Natal.
In Group A, the Olympic champions from Mexico defeated the Cameroon national team 1-0 (0-0).
At the start of the match, the Mexicans, who had more support in the stadium, played more actively in attack.
In the 3rd minute, P. Aguilar unsuccessfully tried to cross the ball into the penalty area, and after four minutes, O. Peralta found himself in the attack, but the referee called an offside.
In the 10th minute, G. Dos Santos managed to score, but the referee disallowed the goal.

Before the break, the Mexicans had a couple more attacks, but they were fruitless.
Upon returning to the field, the players scored mutual fouls.
In the 56th minute, Moreno stopped a dangerous run by Mbia with a foul and received a yellow card. Assou-Ekotto took a dangerous penalty shot, but it was inaccurate.
In the 60th minute, O. Peralta broke the curse - he repeated G. Dos Santos's inaccurate shot and put the Mexicans ahead 1-0.
In the second half, after a substitution, J. Hernandez made a great pass - the Cameroonian defender barely managed to intercept the ball at the last moment.
At the end of the match, Moukandjo had two chances to equalize, but he didn't capitalize on his opportunities. In the 92nd minute, J. Hernandez grabbed his head - receiving a great pass, he missed over the goal.
After a couple of minutes, the Mexicans triumphed and recorded their first victory in the World Championship.
