Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi hinted that his future at the club is surrounded by fog. After a 1-2 defeat to Sassuolo, the 25-year-old sniper suggested that at the end of the season, things could unfold in such a way that the Italians may be forced to sell the player for financial reasons.
"I will repeat what I say every season. I will talk to the club representatives and if it is beneficial for the team for me to stay, then I will not leave. Otherwise, I will have to pack my bags.
"We started this season great, then we fell into a hole, but I am proud of the team's achievements. Our main goal was the UEFA Champions League and not getting there would mean the failure of our plans.
"Let's hope that Crotone will give us a chance to fix things in the last round," said Icardi. In the Serie A championship, the striker has scored 28 goals in 33 matches.
