Michel Platini will continue to lead the UEFA organization. The 59-year-old former French national team footballer was elected for a third four-year term on Tuesday. The Frenchman had no competitors in the elections, as no one else submitted nominations. M. Platini began leading UEFA in 2007. He also retained the position of FIFA vice president for another four years. The former famous French footballer decided last year not to compete for the FIFA presidency against Sepp Blatter. The FIFA presidential elections will take place on May 29th.
