Today three matches of the third round of "Ligue 1" were played.
First, the players of "Lille" and "Bordeaux" entered the battle. There were plenty of opportunities and tough fights in the fierce match, but it ended without goals.
Later, the team of "Lorient" hosted "Saint-Etienne" at home. An interesting situation unfolded right at the beginning of the match - in the first minute, the home team goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte was sent off the field for trying to clear the ball away from his own goal but hitting the visiting striker Romain Hamouma instead.
Ironically, the only goal of the match was scored right at the end and the minimal victory was given to "Saint-Etienne" by this player.
In the evening match, the team of "Marseille", now led by Michel instead of Marcelo Bielsa, earned their first points. The port city club impressively defeated the "Troyes" team.
Overall, the newcomers of the league conceded six goals in the match, with Michy Batshuayi scoring a brace.
