Vice President Adriano Galliani confirmed that the club is interested in the possibility of acquiring Liege's "Standard" defender Axel Witsel.
The 22-year-old footballer is considered one of the most promising players in his position in Europe, which is why teams like London's "Arsenal" and "Liverpool" are also interested in him.
"We have spoken with the leaders of Standard about Witsel," Galliani told "Sky Italia."
This was confirmed by Standard's vice president Luciano D'Onofrio: "Representatives of Milan contacted us, so we talk for several hours a day."
