Italian giants' vice-president Adriano Galliani publicly attacked Madrid for trying to lure Brazilian national team defender Kaka.
In his anger over the actions of the new Real president Ramon Calderon, the Italian poured out his thoughts in an interview with the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca": "For fifty years, Real was the greatest club in the world, but now they have thrown everything out the window. Real completely disrespects their history or name."
During the campaign for the Real presidency, R. Calderon publicly claimed to have an agreement with Kaka and declared that he would buy the Brazilian if elected. After winning the election, R. Calderon officially began his duties as Real president on July 3.
"Milan declares war on Real - you can write it that way - and will do everything to make their lives as difficult as possible," added A. Galliani. "Kaka will not leave Milan, and even if he did, we certainly would not allow him to move to Real. No one from Milan will sit at the negotiating table with Real, because they do not know how the biggest clubs in the world work together."
"I just want to emphasize that I am talking about the current Real management, not about the club that we all know and love," said the Italian.
