In Italy, the national championship battles continue.
The first match saw "Milan" face "Genoa". The hosts took the lead in the fifth minute of the showdown held in the "Fashion Capital" when their leader Carlos Bacca scored.
The match continued evenly, but success in converting chances once again smiled at the "Rossoneri" when Keisuke Honda defeated the Genoa goalkeeper with a long-range shot in the second half.
As the match came to an end, Alessio Cerci further increased the guests' deficit, but "Milan" secured three points and moved closer to the top five.
"Serie A" newcomer "Bologna" defeated "Udinese" minimally in their away game. At the beginning of the season, the bottom-ranked Bologna club has now climbed to the tenth place.
Meanwhile, "Torino" also triumphed 3-1 against "Palermo" in an away game, while the showdown between Genoa's "Sampdoria" and Bergamo's "Atalanta" ended goalless.
The evening showdown between Florence's "Fiorentina", fighting for top spots, and Milan's "Inter" was also fierce.
Playing at home, the "Viola" had to play against the opponents from the 26th minute, who had the advantage given by Marcelo Brozovic. The Florentine team broke through the visitors' defense an hour in when another goalkeeper Borja Valero scored.
With less than 10 minutes remaining in regular time, Alex Telles was shown a second yellow card and sent off the field, giving the hosts a numerical advantage, which they used at the very end.
Khouma Babacar scored the winning goal.
