"Milan" sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli hinted that the "rossoneri" tried to acquire the "Torino" striker Andrea Belotti, but ultimately ended up empty-handed.
The 24-year-old footballer was linked with a move to the "fashion capital" or the "Premier" league during both the winter and summer transfer windows. However, his club demands a staggering 100 million euros release clause.
These demands do not deter "Milan," who plan to return with a new offer in the future.
"He is well known," Mirabelli said. "We tried to bring him to Milan, but for several reasons, it was quite challenging."
"He is still a good player and for "Milan" fans, so who knows, maybe one day he will wear the jersey he dreamed of as a child."
Last season, Belotti had an impressive performance in Serie A, scoring 26 goals and providing seven assists. This year, he has not fared as well - due to injuries, he has played only 15 games, scoring just four times.
