"Milan" fans declared: "The game is over"

One of the most famous football clubs in Italy, belonging to former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's family, fans staged a protest against the club's leaders. During the match at „San Siro“ stadium against the „Cagliari“ team, fans did not come to the stadium, so the team was greeted by practically empty stands. „Milan“ won the match 3:1.

In the „Serie A“ championship, „Rossoneri“ are currently in tenth place, having won only three matches this year. Fans are not satisfied that the club is not considered a favorite for titles, not only in Europe but even in Italy in recent years. Fans are unhappy with the club's management and its lack of transparency.

The main group of club fans „Curva Sud“ last week urged everyone to boycott the matches, using the hashtag #SAVEACMILAN on the social network „Twitter“.

„How many times have we sacrificed for „Milan“? How many times have we saved for new scarves or to renew a season ticket, just to see the team in the stadium? However, the team lacks transparency.

Therefore, we invite everyone not to participate in these matches, and if for some reason you cannot do so, at least do not wave flags, do not support the team with chants or songs from the stands“, - wrote the „Milan“ fans in their statement.

„Milan“ won the match 3:1, with two goals scored by Jeremy Menez (21 and 78 min.), and Philippe Mexes scored once. The only goal for the guests was scored by Marco Sau.
