However, the persevering trainer managed to find a way to victories and in 2018, he beat opponents four times in Serie A and achieved several draws.
Improved results forced club leaders to think about proper compensation, and they hope to sign a new contract with the 40-year-old specialist already in March.
Currently, G. Gattuso receives the lowest salary among colleagues in the Serie A championship and earns 120,000 euros per year. He is even surpassed by Turin's Juventus coach Massimo Allegri 58 times.
