In the most important match in Milan, the host "Inter" club officially lost 0-1 to the leader "Milan", who defeated their fierce rival for the first time since the beginning of 2008.
The only goal came in just 5 minutes, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic converted a 11-meter penalty awarded by the referee after Marco Materazzi's mistake.
The match was finished with "Milan" team playing with a man down, as defender Ignazio Abate received his second yellow card in the 60th minute after a scuffle with Goran Pandev.
Rome's "Lazio" club ended their streak of two consecutive defeats by beating "Napoli" 2-0.
The capital team controlled the game and broke through in the 15th minute with a goal from Mauro Zarate. Sergio Floccari doubled the lead in the 61st minute.
Ezequiel Lavezzi failed to capitalize on the best opportunities for the visitors, hitting the crossbar in the first half.
