The Italian giant has started the pursuit of two players from the Spanish national team. The targets are Fernando Morientes and his teammate Fernando Torres. It is possible that one of them will move to Italy after Euro-2004.
Despite the fact that there is still some time left before the transfer market opens, there is already information emerging about one or the other European club preparing to buy another star player. They are willing to spend any amount of money for David Beckham, and they are getting ready to call Michael Owen from . Now the Italian club "Milan" is also involved in these discussions.
This team needs a third-class forward who could compete with and Andriy Shevchenko. Danish forward Tomasson is likely to leave the Italian team already this summer, as he is not satisfied with rarely being in the starting lineup.
"Milan" has already shown interest in two players from the Spanish national team.
The first one - Fernando Morientes - has long been considered one of the core players of the national team. The other - Fernando Torres - is probably the most promising young forward of the Spanish national team. However, he represents Madrid, so he has not yet won any significant awards. As for Morientes, rumors about him leaving have been circulating for quite some time now. The French themselves say that they simply do not have the funds in the team to keep such a prominent player.
Of course, "Milan" would prefer to acquire the young forward from "Atletico". First of all, Fernando from there is still very young, and therefore could benefit the team for not just one year. Morientes, on the other hand, is unlikely to play better than he is now. Vice president of "Milan" Adriano Galliani does not hide his preference for Torres.

However, if the bosses of the Italian club do not change their minds, they will probably benefit in the future.
