Two matches were played in the Italian Serie A championship on Saturday.
In the standings, defending champion Milan's Inter club moved up to second place at least until the matches tomorrow, after a tough 1-0 victory over mid-table Cagliari.
Milan's newcomer Houssine Kharja scored the only goal of the match in controversial circumstances at the beginning of the game. After a fast attack, goalkeeper blocked Kharja's attempt to pass the ball, but the defender was the first to rush to the ball and scored the goal.
However, the ball may have touched Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia near the goal line, which angered the Cagliari players, who demanded an offside call. Nevertheless, the referee allowed the goal, initially attributing it to Ranocchia.
