Madrid's "Atletico" defender Miranda stated that his team promises to continue improving their play after set pieces, despite the constant criticism of the football displayed by the team from the Spanish capital.
The "La Liga" champions narrowly defeated "Almeria" on Wednesday, with Miranda scoring the only goal of the match from a corner kick.
After the game, "Atleti" coach Diego Simeone defended his methods. His words were supported by the Brazilian national team defender.
"We will continue our work and training because a set piece can determine the outcome of a match. Moreover, everyone has already understood our style of play, so a few strategic moves can bring victory," said Miranda.
"We train a lot and have security in our passes, especially with Koke who delivers the ball perfectly. We also have players who can receive his passes well within our team, such as Raul Garcia, Diego Godin, and even myself," he added.
Madrid's "Atletico" has not yet suffered a defeat in the Spanish championship this season and has collected 11 points after five rounds.
