Brazilian national team defender Miranda believes that with his recent statements, Belgian team captain Vincent Kompany was simply trying to hide his fear.
The best players of these two countries will meet in the World Cup quarter-finals tonight. So, soon there will no longer be one clear favorite in the tournament.
However, despite the excellent composition of the Brazilian team, Kompany recently said that Belgians are not really worried about their opponents' attack.
"We know there are all sorts of provocations. I think this is a way to hide fear," Miranda said.
"I think this is a way to show confidence in oneself and hide fear."
"Before facing the Brazilian national team, you must be prepared, and a leader like Kompany must show confidence to his teammates - just like more experienced players must demonstrate confidence to their teammates."
So far, both Brazilians and Belgians have not lost in the World Cup.
