The 26-year-old Bulgarian, who just moved to England from Bayer Leverkusen before this season, has already scored 21 goals, sparking talks about the interest of bigger clubs in acquiring the striker.
"I'm not afraid - under no circumstances," said M. Jolas. "The president wouldn't allow it, even if I wanted to. I don't see any reason why we should sell him. In the last six months, the club has earned a lot, so we don't need to sell players."
Tottenham sold England international midfielder Michael Carrick to Man Utd last summer for £18.6 million, but M. Jolas didn't make a big deal out of it: "In the last five to six years, we have kept 99% of our key players."
Spurs paid nearly £11 million to the German club for the Bulgarian last summer, but M. Jolas believes that Berbatov, who is also being eyed by Man Utd and Chelsea, will only get better in the future.
"Both the team and Dimitar have room for improvement," said the strategist. "He can score 30 or 35 goals in all competitions in a season. We will get a lot more from him.
