German national team forward Miroslav Klose is delighted that he managed to equal the record of Brazilian Ronaldo as the top scorers in World Cup history.
The 36-year-old footballer scored the equalizing goal just a minute after entering the field in the match against the Ghanaian players on Saturday, joining the legendary Ronaldo in goals scored in the World Cup. Both players have scored 15 goals in World Cup tournaments.
"It's nice to equal Ronaldo, he is a great player and person. I hope to play more and score more goals in the World Cup," Klose said.
"Fifteen goals in 20 matches is not a bad result at all. But the most important thing is to play well in the last group match against the US team," the German added.
Ronaldo himself didn't miss this event, writing on his Twitter account: "Welcome to the club, #Klose".
