One of the best Danish footballers of all time, Michael Laudrup, resigned from the position of head coach, stating that he wants a new big challenge.
The 41-year-old strategist, who previously played for teams like Madrid or Turin, led the Danish team for four years and became the national champion last year.
"I can't say if I'm ready to coach a powerful European club, but I intend to accept even the biggest challenge if I receive a similar offer," - said M. Laudrup. - "I'm ready to take a new step, because, no matter what it is, it will be very interesting."
Laudrup took over the reins of Brondby in 2002, leaving his post as assistant coach of the Danish national team. Together with the club, he once became the national champion and triumphed twice in cup competitions. However, the last season was not so successful - Brondby finished second and lost the crucial battle to fierce rival FC Copenhagen.
According to unofficial data, M. Laudrup is among the candidates to become the new coach of the Real team.
