Former Inter club owner Massimo Moratti presented his new book and talked about the most famous coach of recent decades, Jose Mourinho.
In 2010, the Milan club coached by the Portuguese reached a historic treble, and now it becomes clear that he really didn't want to leave the Serie A championship.
"After the Champions League final triumph, the mood quickly dissipated, as Mourinho left for the Real team.
Even before that season, the coach had mentioned to me about the constant calls from the Madrid club, and then it happened again. You can't keep people like prisoners, but it's not nice to see Real president Florentino Perez waiting in the car for Jose after the Champions League final at the Bernabeu stadium.
Mourinho already regretted it before signing the contract with Real and mentioned to me that he was leaving only for "business reasons" and not for family. He told me that if he could, he wouldn't leave Inter.
I reminded him that the strategist has complete freedom of choice and must make decisions himself.
I think the tears in Mourinho's eyes were real, and I am very happy that the coach still supports the Inter club," Moratti said.
