On Tuesday evening, the first participant of the 2016-17 season UEFA Champions League final was revealed - the second leg of the semifinals took place in Turin. The teams fighting for a spot in the final were the Turin teams "Juventus" and "Monaco". Massimiliano Allegri's disciples eventually conceded an own goal, but that did not stop them from achieving victory once again (2-1) and advancing to the final of the tournament. The team from France, "Monaco", who suffered a defeat with a score of 0-2, started the match aggressively in Turin. In the 5th minute, a header saved Gianluigi Buffon's goal, however, in this episode, a penalty was also recorded. A bit later, the pace of the game dropped and until the 20th minute, neither team managed to create any dangerous opportunities. In the 23rd minute, Mario Mandzukic came close to scoring the first goal, but the Croatian forward failed to send the ball into the goal while remaining alone with the goalkeeper. However, in the 33rd minute, M. Mandzukic redeemed himself for this episode - the forward finally put "Juventus" in the lead. Mandzukic first attempted a header, which was saved by his compatriot, but the ball rebounded to Mandzukic's feet and he sent it into the goal on his second attempt. In the 44th minute, the final point was scored in these matches - Dani Alves increased "Juventus" advantage with an impressive strike to two goals. In the second half, the hosts dominantly controlled the ball. For the beginning of the second half, "Monaco" did not create any chances near Gianluigi Buffon's goal. Later, "Monaco" again activated their forces in attack and in the 69th minute finally defeated the unbeatable G. Buffon. After a superb pass from Joao Moutinho, Kylian Mbappe cut the deficit. The goal conceded in these matches was the first one for the team "Juventus" in the last four Champions League games. However, this will have no significance for the team as "Juve" confidently advanced to the final. The Italian champions will find out their opponent in the final tomorrow when Madrid's "Real" will seek to maintain the advantage acquired in the first meeting against "Atletico".
