"Monaco" vice-president Vadim Vasilyev revealed that last summer, "Real" Madrid seriously pursued Kylian Mbappe, but the player himself wanted to move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Last summer, one of the best young footballers in the world decided to leave "Monaco". "Real" was interested in the Frenchman, but the battle for him was won by PSG, who borrowed the forward, but will have to pay 145 million euros for him after the season.
Speaking on one of the French radios, one of the leaders of "Monaco" club said: "I can confirm that 'Real' offered as much as PSG presented to us."
"I have always been honest and I do not intend to hide that we did not like the idea that Kylian would go to direct competitors. We would not have allowed it to happen, but the desire of Kylian and his family was such, so we made a favorable decision for him," added V. Vasilyev.
The decision of "Monaco" club did not please - K. Mbappe has scored nine goals in 17 matches in France, and the team he represents, PSG, is successfully moving towards the "Ligue 1" title.
