"Monaco" crushed "Bastia" and closed in on the leaders of "Ligue 1"

Two matches of the French championship were played last night.

The country's vice-champion "Monaco" defeated "Bastia" 3-0 at home and increased their lead over "Saint Etienne" in fifth place by four points. Furthermore, Leonardo Jardim's team is now just three points behind the third place, which allows them to compete in the UEFA Champions League qualification rounds.

The winners scored a brace by Anthony Martial, while Matheus Carvalho added another goal. It is worth mentioning that in this match, the visitors received two red cards, and "Monaco" player Layvin Kurzawa missed a penalty from 11 meters.

In other matches, teams competing in the second part of the league table clashed. "Nice" footballers were forced to admit defeat in their fortress to "Guingamp," led by Christophe Mandanne.
