"Monaco" defeats "Bordeaux" on the road, "Nantes" loses (VIDEO)

Yesterday, there were several matches in the "Ligue 1". In the first of them, the "Bordeaux" footballers defended their champion title at home against "Monaco".

Both opponents are really strong, and the match between them did not disappoint the fans gathered in the stadium. However, even though Fabinho was close to scoring a goal early in the 7th minute, the first accurate shot had to wait.

The guests took the lead after playing almost an hour, when after a counterattack, Monaco's newcomer Balde Keita scored using Joao Moutinho's pass.

"Monaco" team then took initiative and scored another goal through Thomas Lemar, making the situation for the hosts really difficult.

They fought until the end and Lukas Lerager could have narrowed the gap, but "Monaco" ultimately celebrated a 2-0 victory. After that, Leonardo Jardim's team still remains four points behind "Paris Saint-Germain".

A bit later, five more matches took place. Among them were draws between "Guingamp" and "Amiens" as well as "Strasbourg" and "Angers" clubs, a win for "Rennes" as visitors, and minimal victories for "Caen" and "Dijon" at home.

The latter team, thanks to a single precise shot by Julio Tavares, forced Claudio Ranieri's "Nantes" to surrender. They could lose the third place in the table tomorrow, as "Lyon" will host the absolute underdog "Metz".
