CIES Football Observatory analyzed all the transfers that took place this summer and announced the clubs that earned the most and spent the most.
Financially the best passing window was for the French champion "Monaco", whose players were picked up by various clubs for a total of 394 million euros. However, this includes Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Bernardo Silva, and others, as well as Kylian Mbappe, for whom "Monaco" will receive 180 million euros next year.
For comparison, "Monaco" only spent 105 million euros on the replacement of the mentioned players, and could have received another 100 million if they had sold Thomas Lemar.
In second place is Dortmund's "Borussia", which earned just over 100 million euros, with the majority of the club's sales made to "Barcelona" for Ousmane Dembele, whose buyout could rise to 147 million.
Interestingly, the club that earned the most in the top ten is the English giant "Arsenal" from London, which only spent 60 million euros on players in the market, but received a sum of 86 million.
At the top of the list of the biggest spenders is "Paris Saint-Germain", a rival of "Monaco" in France, whose numbers were boosted not only by Mbappe, but also by an even more impressive transfer of Neymar, costing 222 million euros.
Following closely is "Milan", which practically bought an entire starting lineup, earning only 61 million euros from sales, despite spending 250 million. Behind "Rossoneri" are three Premier League clubs: "Manchester United", "Manchester City", and London's "Chelsea".
